Effective Design and Implementation of Community Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Programmes

Communities require access to safe drinking water, adequate sanitation, and hygiene. Effective intervention can slow the spread of disease, alleviate suffering, and even save lives. More lives can be saved when local emergency responders understand how to implement basic Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) measures. This short course is intended to provide learners with a knowledge of the foundations of the WASH industry. The training will teach participants the fundamental principles for planning, creating, and implementing actions to increase sustainable and equitable access to residential water supply and sanitation facilities, as well as improving hygiene behaviours in both emergency and non-emergency situations.
