Certified Safety and Health Manager (CSHM)

The CSHM program recognizes the safety and health professionals who demonstrate knowledge of health and safety management skills and techniques through examination and experience.

The CSHM will help you to strengthen your future career choices and give yourself a competitive edge. In addition to technical knowledge of occupational safety and health, a successful safety and health manager must possess working knowledge of a broad range of business and financial principles and an understanding of related issues such as hazard analyses, accident investigations, safety audits and surveys, workers’ compensation, product safety, environmental laws, quality, and labor relations. The Certified Safety and Health Manager program is designed to provide recognition of those who can apply a broad range of safety and health management tools.

What you’ll learn
  • Understand the essential legislation and Practices used in sustaining HSE in the Construction industry in an advanced democracy
  • Understand the vital skills, tools, concepts and proven strategies required for Construction HSE
  • Apply the concepts, tools and analytical techniques and knowledge to bring about improved HSE implementation in an organization
  • Understand the employer and employee role and responsibility in HSE Implementation
  • Transfer some of the learning into the organization even in a poor legal framework
  • Understand and develop HSE systems based on behaviour to enhance the organization’ HSE Culture
  • Improve organization culture via Behavioral HSE implementation
  • Provide some tools required for continued monitoring of HSE on site
Requirements

Candidates must;

  • Have at least a pass in English and Mathematics/Statistics at WASSCE, SSCE or GCE “O” level or NECO
  • Have access to either a computer or smartphone with Internet Connectivity.
  • Be equipped with quality webcam and headphones
